         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>&nbsp;The Renaissance was maintained mainly in Italy. So, it is most likely my ancestors witnessed the Renaissance. The Renaissance happened between the 14th and 17th century.</li><li>&nbsp;Important people in the Renaissance were Donatello, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Michelangelo. These people are just a few great thinkers out of many during the Renaissance. The Renaissance was a time of creativity and art, spreading the idea of humanism everywhere.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <title>The Middle Ages</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>&nbsp;Being Christian means my background was affected by the middle ages. My ancestors witnessed events from Chapter 6. Although I am Christian and not Catholic, Catholicism was the only form of Christianity during the Middle ages.</li><li>One very important person in the middle ages was Martin Luther. Martin Luther was known for his hatred of indulgences (Give Money=Get out of sin). On Halloween (or "All Saints Day" in that time") Martin Luther posted 95 theses on the door of a church, which basically said indulgences are bad.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li> After that Martin Luther and the Catholic Church went back and forth, hit after hit; until Martin's Theses spread to the world. Thanks to the printing press Luher's 95 Theses had spread far and wide. And after be excommunicated by the church, so he made his own form of Christianity.</li><li>Protestantism, better known as Lutheran, spread. And other kings soon realized that switching to Protestantism gave them more power. This was because during the middle ages, the pope was at the top of the social pyramid; and without the pope the kings (which were under the pope one slot in the pyramid) had more power.</li></ul>]]></description>
