On Tuesday, Jan. 17 our school will have visitors from Uzbekistan, a country in central Asia. Please prepare for this by learning about Uzbekistan here: http://www.humanium.org/en/asia-pacific/uzbekistan/
Then write 1-2 things you learned about this country and any questions you have for the visitors, based on what you've read about their country. (Note: The photo below is of some Uzbekistani boys in front of a mosque. These are not the people who will be visiting QAE.)

I learned that Uzbekistan has the highest population in Central Asia with 28.6 million people living there. I also learned that more than a quarter of the population is impoverished and not in good health. Also, it says that they have child labor there.

It’s very scenic and has large valleys and mountains. They have the coolest Instruments you could ever see! I must say that I would like websites to say more about the country's gifts to the world instead of what I do see “ this is a horrid place where the people hate their lives and want to move far far away”. I want to ask them what they have for food and if they have anything to move their stuff with (cars, horses etc.)

1-16-11
One thing I learned about Uzbekistan is that a lot of people go to uzbekistan from dangerous places, and have very little money, so they have to stay in camps. With not good food or water.
Another thing That that I learned about Uzbekistan is that a lot of children have to work. And get payed very little or no money.
A question that I have is that in the text it says that 7% of women under the age of 18 are married . But I wonder about the men do they marry younger women at an older age? Or did they just not mention the men?

1-16-17
I think that I would not want to live in Uzbekistan because I wouldn't be able to go school that much, I'd have to work in very hot sun, and it seems like a pretty bad place for kids. I would ask the people coming "are there any good things?" because the article said lots of bad things about the country.
