The first main point that the author makes is that he wants the reader to understand that K-pop is a musical sensation that erupted from South Korea and turned the whole world into fans. The second point that James Russell mentions is that K-pop is not just about music, but it is also consumed by and inspired by fashion and style, fun and the future, of a new wave of attitude that arose from an old world of South Korea. Lastly, he James Russell describes where the music K-pop originated, specifically from Seoul. Before k-pop, Seoul not so long ago was a overwhelmingly drab city, mostly covered by large concrete bland not so pleasing buildings. But That changed since the arrival or k-pop. The city is now full of amazing stores/ shops, some of the best styles in the world, and it is now full of amazing and incredible modernized architecture. The new Seoul is unrecognizable compared to the old seoul that was generations ago.

Today South Korea's biggest cultural export quite frankly is Blackpink and BTS. As James Russell puts it, "ever since K-pop hit the scene, it has been growing none stop. More and more new groups are evolving, with more hip moves, flashy videos, and more specifically more music hits that fans love." But other huge cultural exports also include K-beauty brands and even esports (Pc,Xbox, Playstation), which contribute largly to Korea's $12.3 billion worth of export goods in the year 2019. As James stated, "k-pop is just the beginning for growing industries in South Korea, Esports, and cultural exports will be booming in the future that is right near the corner." Projecting what the CBS news article reported. Large cultural exports is growing immensely and is becoming a huge success for South Korea. Its huge $1.6 trillion dollar contribution is an extreme jump for South Koreas GPD.
