On Tesco’s website in the sustainability section, they claim to be aware of the issues surrounding plastic packaging. They have a reduce, reuse, recycle system in place in which people can recycle their single use plastic such as crisp packets, the film used to wrap fresh things such as meat and fish, fruit and vegetable bags, and sweet wrappers. So that instead of them getting thrown away, they get reused and made into new packaging keeping the plastic that has already been made within their system. This then contributes to limiting the amount of new plastics that need to be made.

Whilst this is what it says on Tesco’s website, I done some further research to see what people outside of Tesco had to say about the sustainability pact Tesco have on their website...

I found this small bit fo information about them taking part in the 'UK Plastic Pact' but there is little information on exactly what they are doing to reach these goals unlike the abundance of information that is provided by Tesco.
