Another challenge is if a child is removed from their home and placed in foster care, they may have to move schools. Moving from school to school can be a challenge for students. Here are a list of ways a school can help protect a child: 
1. monitor changes in behaviors in a child
2. monitor self-images in a child
3. watch for attention seeking behaviors
4. watch for sudden weight loss
5. watch for lack or appetite
