As most of us have children, i will say 3 things a child can teach an adult: 

1. To be happy for no reason

2. To always be curious

3. To fight tirelessly for something. When a child learns to walk and falls down 50 times he never thinks to himself “maybe this isn’t for me”.

It’s a beautiful thing when career and passion come together. Career is a series of ups&down, of comebacks. I had many so far. Passion now, is the energy that comes from bringing more of you into what you do. 

What i’ve learned so far in my career is that everything comes to you at the right time. So patience along with persistence and inner faith are absolutely vital. A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor. And of course the cost of not following your heart is spending the rest of your life wishing you had.

To this sense, here I am today. Among you all, in this Entrepreneurship course, having big dreams but starting small. Nonetheless, the key word to everything is "start".

I hope this will be a beautiful journey for all of us, a challenging one and above all a successful one! Because success comes from ordinary people with extraordinary determination.

Later, I had two startups that failed to find any customers. I was lucky to fail quickly without burning lot of cash and wasting a lot of time. And I got to learn a lot.

I relaized that when you have a team of like minded co-founders working together in a startup, the odds of success increase exponentially.

I worked as a Product Manager and then as General Manager of an Austin based adTech startup that works with high-traffic, general-consumer websites to significantly increase the profitability of their ad space.

I am presently working on a couple of ideas. This time I want to build a sustainable business model, preferably asset light that can be scaled quickly. I look forward to picking up the right skills and equip myself with the right tools to making it a huge success.

Hi, My name is Vishal Gupta an Hotelier by profession and I am based out of Jaipur, India. I am a multi-skilled business leader with over twenty years International General Management, Commercial and Operations experience. I have worked with two largest hospitality companies, Marriott and Hilton in four countries. Currently I am working as a general Manager of a hotel in Jaipur. 

I recently finished the Advanced General Management Program (AGMP) certification with IIM – Ahmedabad in 2021 and have a Bachelor degree of business in Hospitality Administration from The Hotel School Sydney. I am also a certified Leadership and Executive coach from George Mason University, Virginia.

After completing AGMP with IIM- Ahmedabad, I am overflowing with creative ideas. I have started working on an idea and want to utilize the learning from this course to help me launch and scale this startup successfully. 

I am looking forward to learning and honing my skills by interacting with all the participants and mentors and building lifelong relationships. 

Typically automation systems rely on a set of rules to execute control, but if you can apply AI/ML you can realise Automation Intelligence. With Automation Intelligence you can start to have smart buildings which learn and adapt to their environment and how they are being used to save energy, or you can control a microgrid to optimise energy, or you can protect expensive rotating equipment with predictive maintenance, or you can start to implement advanced process control at a more cost effective price point. And, as you have lots of interesting data you can also start to use Blockchains to create a new value proposition.

For nearly two decades, I have enjoyed my role in Industrial Sales and Marketing, primarily in India, and also in Europe and North America. As I embark on a more Global role in the near future, I look to build structure to my intrapreneurial outlook and actions and deliver greater value to my customers and to my enterprise.

In 18 years since graduating as an engineer and then as an MBA, I have relished the challenge of diving into new markets for my respective companies, and then scaling up those initials wins into substantial revenue contributors. 

I’ve always worked as an intrapreneur, even before I discovered that a term like that existed. I became adept at maximizing resources available to me through my employer. Moreover, I derived great satisfaction at channelizing resources beyond my direct command, by building a network of collaborators. This acted like a force multiplier and I was able to deliver results from multiple regions simultaneously, often without needing to be physically present in those markets all the time. In today’s age of travel restrictions, my experience at delivering performance remotely has become a great asset. One of the key learning of the past year has been to evaluate each opportunity conscientiously, with an entrepreneur’s mindset and then act very deliberately and decisively. 

I am certain, the Entrepreneurial Edge program will help me evaluate new markets, in  a whole new way. I will be able to use the business models and frameworks taught here to strategize better, and execute even better. Without a doubt, the faculty, my new friends and colleagues at LBS and our incredible Alumina network will help me tremendously in building an international business that is sustainable for decades to come.

I am Louis Esangbedo, I am based out of Hampshire, England so chuffed to be here. I moved to the United Kingdom Eleven years ago to study and work from Southern Nigeria.

I did a Masters in Renewable Energy at Kingston University, Although I studied Engineering, I had always had a strong interest in various aspect of computing and coding so after my masters in Engineering I just had better offers in Tech and I have never looked back since.

Today I work and consult as a Data Engineering Expert Developing Big Data Applications, IOT, Data Visualizations, Data Streaming as my day job.

Personally, I would like to consider myself as highly driven, I get all this from my upbringing Always seeing the cup half full, always believing, always Grafting, always Grinding, always looking for a better way to do things.  I have been working on an Idea in the space of "Personal shopping" and I look forward to gaining more insights into how to do things right. these are known unknowns; I want to be able to uncover some Unknown Unknowns and I know that I am in the right place.

My name is Flavia, and I am very excited to spend the next 12 weeks with you. 

I have spent my last ten years in London working for different investment banks as project manager  focusing on the implementation of new client’s proposition (i.e. new markets, or launch of new products). 

Although I really enjoy create and manage action plans, my goal now is to reach the next step:  create the ideas and translate them in an high-impact  value-proposition to the clients.
