i was in all of the rooms through the week and met lots of new children.

i helped put them to sleep and helped feed the children that needed help.

Block week experience- ( i did a couple of days Wednesday’s and Fridays) My overall experience for my first week back at placement has been wonderful. It has been great to meet the new EYFS class and to support them in settling them

into there new school routine.  I have a really good bond with my new class and teachers

Key duties carried out- My key duties carried out were setting out activities in the morning,getting the classroom ready, settling the children to start their day, supporting and participating in the activities, working beside the teachers, making sure the children are happy and safe in the classroom and around school

Name of placement- Totnes St Johns C of E primary school and in EYFS

Block week experience- I didn’t do a full two weeks, I did some extra days. It went amazing and the new EYFS class is lovely. The teachers are the same as last year so I have an amazing bond with them and every day I was there I felt welcomed and appreciated. I have started to bond with the children and they know they can come to me if they need anything.

Key duties- some of my key duties were making sure the children were safe and happy in the environment, working beside the teachers, settling them in, making sure they understand the rules of the classroom and being there for them to rely on, setting up activities and participating with the children in the activities and help with their forest school sessions.

I want to gain more experience working alongside the DSL. The DSL is my reception teacher i work along but i want to be able to work alongside her in her actual environment and learn about what she does and how she deals with it
