Lizzie borden was a women who lived in fall river. Lizzies mom died a couple years after she was born and her dad started dating abby borden. Lizzie initially had 2 sisters, Alice and emma. Alice passed away, emma was older than lizzie and emma was like a mother and a friend to lizzie. They also had a maid. On August 4th 1892 the step mom and father were brudally murdered with a hatchet. Lizzies famous quote was "She gave her mother forty whacks/When she saw what she had done/She gave her father forty-one." Lizzie was aquantied for the crimes but then was found innocent.

i think another possible theory could be that she was jealous of her step mom. Although it was a good theory because lizzie wanted the money and maybe he dad didnt give her as much as attention she wanted but if the theory was true she wouldnt have killed her father as well.

Its important because murder is a serious crime and if it wasnt her then it was probably the maid. i learned that the crime laws were as harmful as now.
