As an animal lover Grant Seibert grew up on a farm with many different types of animals. Grant would assist his veterinary take care of all the animals such as brush their teeth, clip their nails and re-shoe the horses. In college at the University of California, San Jose, Grant Seibert set out to become a veterinarian by pursuing a biology degree, but he soon discovered a second passion, aviation. He began taking flying lessons and centered his studies on aeronautical science. During his senior year, he was asked to serve as a tutor to new aviation students as a result of his studies. He graduated with his bachelor's degree in 1998. In 2001, Grant Seibert returned to school to earn his master’s degree in engineering psychology from a University in California. His post-graduates study and thesis work evaluated the positive and negative effects of the airline industry’s switch from paper checklists and manuals to electronic formats. One of the most unique relics of the past in Arizona is Vulture City, which was the site of an 1863 gold discovery a dozen miles from present day Wickenburg.
