I believe that Congressmen/women should not be allowed to use inside information for their own personal benefit. It's not fair to those outside of Congress that invest in stock because they just don't know. The fact that they get important information before anyone else gives them a bigger head start than anyone else and, again, it's unfair with the amount of privilege they already have being in Congress. -Evelyn

I believe that Congressmen/women shouldn't be allowed to use information they learn for their personal benefit when trading stock because it is unfair and gives themselves an advantage in the market.

I don't think it's right, using withheld information to your advantage. Especially if you're supposed to be representing the people and you're using the downfall of a nation to your money advantage. For example covid, it's so extremely unfair, a lot of people struggled during this pandemic and they use it to get millions.

A person who is given the power to help govern the American government should not use its inside information to garner huge amounts of money. No government official should have the right to benefit from unjust situations or actions similar to how many government officials started trading on stocks that focused on products of health like masks, hand sanitizers, etc once the global pandemic hit the nation. -Alan. It's not right but i'm not surprised because the government will always know almost about everything before the public and they will wait months or even years later something really bad happened and for the trading stock the government and the people in it will do anything to keep their money and job no matter how wrong they are doing the public dirty. I'm honestly not surprised that congressmen/women use the information they know before the public does to buy into stocks. It is unfair and I believe they should not be allowed to do that. The information they know before the public does is supposed to be confidential until it is released, using it for their own personal gain should be illegal.

I think that people in Congress should not be allowed to do this. They have information that the rest of the population doesn´t know and using this information to gain money is wrong. Them buying stocks and shares in bulk because of the information that they know ruins the stock market for the rest of the population. People in Congress should not get a special advantage in the stock market just because they are a part of Congress.

I think that Trading stock on inside information is unethical because it's information that is disclosed to the government until it's released to the public, if someone is taking advantage of that, then it would be considered unfair.

I think that it is completely unfair for any members in the house of representatives to invest in stocks when they have inside information. Some of the representatives in the house do it for the salary but their main job is to serve the public. We're supposed to put our trust in their hands and yet people like Nancy Pelosi lie to the public and deny that they invested stocks based on inside information when you can clearly see her timing of it was suspicious.

I believe that congressmen/Women should not be allowed to share personal information for their own benefit. Because anything they say about someone can have a big impact on their lives depending on how bad this information is. This is allowing them to be taken advantage of by using this information outside of work. They are abusing their power of authority.

This information should not be used for personal use. I believe congressmen/ women should not have access to this kind of information outside of work.

I feel like the inside info shouldnt be used to trade stocks because that is personal.
