I have been using google meets and have been able inter act with students. I am able to have the students come together at the beginning of a lesson and chat/connect with me and their peers. We then go over our task for the day and breakout into practice rooms. I am able to check-in with each student individually and then bring the group back together at the end to share our end result. The problem I'm finding is there are struggles with this practice when the students come to the rooms unprepared.  The girl in the video is an obvious reader and certainly somewhat of a different representative of our typical middle school learners. Conferring is a wonderful idea nonetheless.
