I used acrylic gel to give the corn stem more texture. In the background, I lightly painted the sky with different colors to add depth to that too. Once I finished the outline, I started using different colors of watercolor to paint in the kernels. I experimented with different colors and blended them together to try to make the kernels look as realistic as possible.
