Reminders for registration:
- Have back up courses and sections ready at hand
-Set an alarm 30 minutes before you register to log on, grab a drink and check your first choices and back ups
Full-Time is 12-17.5 credits. Under that you are part time which can effect housing, scholarship and other. over that needs to be a credit overload petition.
Waitlists for 3 classes at one time
Prerequisites: If a course has a prerequisite, you need to complete the prerequisite prior to the start of the semester that you will take the next course.
Co-requisites: If a course has a co-requisite, you will need to register for both courses in the same semester. Please remember to use the “register now” button for courses that have co-requisites. Courses like CHEM 110/111 or PSYC 115/116 are co-requisites and will need to be registered at the same time. Each course will need a seat open and available, not a waitlist, to be able to register.
Permissions: If a course states that it has a professor or department permission, you’ll need to reach out to the professor or department for the course to request permission to be able to register for the course.
Restrictions: If a course has a restriction, it is likely in the course information pop-up box with a yellow alert box or listed under the “additional information” space. If you believe that you meet the restriction requirement but it will not let you register, feel free to email me and we’ll figure it out together.

There are no class for me....what do i do
- Please find open HOMs even if not interesting to you, or courses towards a potential minor or area of interest. You want to be at full-time status for many reasons. Remember that there is movement in courses during add/drop week so add yourself to open classes and sections at times you are not interested in so you have a full schedule. But keep yourself on a wait list.
My section was cancelled!! What now??
If any of your classes or sections are cancelled, there are many reasons for it and it isn't done just for fun. Please enroll in a different open section of that course or another AU CORE or Major Requirement.
