Read Aloud--My teacher picks a quick book to read aloud to the class and the book relates to a certain social skill for example: personal space--it was about a child who loved space and planets but needed to learn what personal space was; the teacher was able to relate it back to her students and ask them what they thought personal space was and how they can make sure not to invade others personal space, while also asking others not to invade theirs.

My teacher has binders for each student with a page on the front of the alphabet and a picture that goes along with it. Each student has their own classroom job for a week. The teacher created a job wheel and rotates it every Monday so each student receives a new job that week. One job I found really interesting was entertainer of the week. This persons job was to bring in or talk about something they love or about home. This has been a great outlet for students and the teacher to get to know each other and their different backgrounds. For example, one child's family is from Mexico and they travel there every year so the little girl brought in pictures of her trips and her family.
