Humans tend to find symmetrical faces more attractive than asymmetrical faces. This is because as humans we have always associated symmetry with perfection and when something is asymmetrical, there is a correlation that there must be a form of dysfunction and ultimately turns people away more than a symmetrical face would.

Men typically prefer a low WHR in women because of the innate desire of a woman with fecundity. A high WHR is correlated with mortality or medical conditions and subsequently directs men away from women that have high WHR.

Body modifications such as piercings and tattoos are seen throughout society as primarily unattractive. Research shows that people associate piercings and tattoos with intelligence. A low intelligence level is assumed in those with body modifications, this is seen because people with tattoos and piercings seem to have low levels of risk consideration as body mods are permanent.
