In my country, master programmes for teachers are very limited. They are either offered on full time basis (so one has to leave his/her job) or on a 5 year part time basis with a compulsory attendance. I would like a job that allows me to balance my work, studies and life commitments.

I teach 25 ten year-old students. I teach them Maths, English, Maltese, Science, Catholic Religion, Social Studies, Creative arts and PE ( in other words a jack of all trades) We do not have teacher assistants in Malta. Even though I love this job with all my heart, I feel that the work load is unbearable at times. I wish that in the future the education system in my country will have more human resources and more opportunities for teachers to grow professionally.

I love being a primary teacher but a dream for me is to be able to teach cross-curricular entreprenerial 'topics/projects' instead of the way the curriculum in Sweden is now divided up into individual subjects even for the youngest children. Already early in secondary school I knew I wanted to study English, and I also knew that I wouldn't like to become a teacher. Well, it seems somebody had other plans in mind. I've been teaching English since 1998, and I don't regret a single day spent in the classroom with my students.
A few years back I realized that besides teaching students English I want to achieve something more; something that will help me see beyond a student who is just sitting doing grammar and/or vocabulary exercises.
My dream and my mission is to find out what students know besides English, what other skills they possess (literary, musical, artistic, etc) and then use and realize them using English as a medium.

I would like to work without the fear of a court judgement, to have a headmaster who is able to understand our's potentialities, to have many instruments of ICT for my lessons, to be creative in my work and to have many chances to collaborate with my colleagues.
In italian school we usually have a few or no one possibility to collaborate with colleagues, a great lack of ICT instruments (laptops, tablets, printers etc.) and often headmasters are not so interested in valorising us teachers.

Actually, I already do my dream job: I teach foreign languages and there is no bettere way to discover mind openness towards diversity and cultures. The capability of human brain work connected to Language Learning is simply impressive. What I dream of is:
an own language classroom with all necessary teaching materials and tools as well as ITC technologies, where students can breath a relaxing classroom ambiance and teachers can easily appl ydifferent learning techniques.

When I usually ask my students to imagine their dream job, their answers sound like this:
"I want to do a job that involves very little work, allows to travel a lot and offers the opportunity to make some good money".
But I wonder lastly: after watching a film that deals with complex themes (power, control, ethic, fear, corruption, human condition) linked to everyday life, a student said: "I want to become an intelligence officer. I want equality and justice for each citizen".

As a teacher in English to young learners, I think that it's great to motivate children to learn foreign languages & new ICT. We try to imagine future with modern devices & digital platforms. Here's our vision of the future school where pupils will be able to use new virtual tools & where they will be able to collaborate with their friends via a lot of languages. :)

I would like to be a teacher in a modern school, puting in practice new perspectives of teaching and learning and every kind of innovation. I also would like to be a designer, to design shoes or furniture!!!!

Most of my students do not even know what job would do. Some will go to college. One imagines his work. His passion is computer science and would like a company where employees were driven by the passion and fun. He would like a relaxing lounge and telecommuting days so that everyone can manage themselves their own schedule. We hope well

I recently was asked, "if you weren't doing what you were doing, what would you do?" And I answer myself: I would still be a teacher. I have found in teaching a sense in life. Teaching has a meaning itself... Therefore, I am so proud to be a teacher. Anyhow, what else would I like to do? or how can I improve the job of my dreams? I would like to become a writer, as well; and I have found out that my students are eager to listen to my stories... They are always curious about the teacher... so I won't disappoint them! To make teaching the job of my dreams, in my actual job, I would like to have my own classroom and create with my students a learning environment. I would like to work collaboratively with my colleagues and I would like to socialize in the real world what my students are able to create in the teaching and learning processes. I would like to share all my experience with the youngest teachers or teachers to become, so they can continue on doing a good work!

Since a young teanager I knew two things: I loved teaching others and just create things with my hands/imagination, like arts and crafts. I think I already have my dream job, and I wouldn't wish anything else. Loving what you do and looking always for a solution to help your students achieve their best is what fullfills me!

I teach in a secondary school. My younger students don'tn really know what their job will be, they have some dreams and most would like to travel a lot since they attend the tourist course. The older ones would like to become travel agents, tour operators or Hotel owners and what is more important they prefer working less hours than their parents do and earning lots of money!

I teach in a economic secondary school and most students of mine don't know the job they will have. and whether they want to keep studying at the university until the attend the last grade. Having a feedback after leaving the school most of them are employed in different fields according to their studies; finance, administration, accounting, marketing and ict.

Dreaming about the future is a main task not only for kids but also for adults. My students are 14 and soon they will be at an important crossroad: the secondary upper school. They have to choose it and imagine themselves in the future. I often force myself to dream about something changed in my job or in my life. My surrounding environment at school is not very stimulating, as many teachers are only eager to retire and not interested in new initiative like entrepreneurship.
Students need more positive energies. Future is challenging!
