I pass the same park with young and old kids swinging or playing on the play set. When I cross the small bridge it reminds me of when I skate with my dad or catch frogs and snakes with close friends. The trees are almost always filled with singing birds or pumpkin eating squirrels. Thou I listen to music I can still hear the sounds of people talking or birds chirping. It wasn't the worst road located in Eolia, that title went to Church Street (ironic, I know). In 2000, we first moved to our little cottage of a home. The move was sprung on by the recent decision of my mother and father to have ANOTHER kid. ANOTHER. As if two precious sons weren't enough, we had a baby girl on the way. More space was needed; logically, Dad and Mom found the perfect house. A small two-bedroom home. Yup, a small home with two beds, one bath, and five people. I do suppose it was a step up from the trailer in Whiteside, the village of thirty-six. At least on Vo Tech I was able to find friends to actually play with... unlike Whiteside where I was the youngest person in the village. Adjacently connected to Vo Tech Road, Femur Road was a treasure trove of entertainment and excitement. I viewed Femur as a pathway out of the life of boredom in Eolia, Missouri. I found an enchanted woods, a church swimming pool (for public use), and a middle school crush.
