Later, they discover the truth through social media. Do you feel guilt or shame? How much, and why? Consider: How does this violation of trust affect both parties? What role does social media play in amplifying or exposing such deceptions?

Group pressure makes it harder for individuals to act morally and makes it easier to just conform.

In this situation, I would feel more guilt than shame because my discomfort comes from knowing I should have spoken up but chose not to. Guilt stems from the recognition that I failed to act according to my values, especially if I believe making fun of someone's appearance is wrong. Thus, I would feel guilt because I recognize that staying silent was the wrong action, but it doesn’t necessarily make me feel like I am a bad person overall. Shame, on the other hand, would make me question my identity, making me feel like I am not as good or moral as I thought I were.
