Today we tried to find a holy building to design. We decided to design Erritsø church in Denmark.

We need the dimensions of the church to get started with the 3D sketch.

So we sent a mail, asking for the dimensions.

They don't reply to our mail, so we called the, but they didn`t answer the phone.

We need the dimensions soon, so we decided to find another church.

We chose Grong church in Nord-Trøndelag.

We called them, and a nice lady said she could mail us the dimensions and some pictures to help.

Now we just have to wait for the mail.

The nice lady replied our mail. She sent us six different blue prints of the church.

At first we have to start with the dimensions of the floor. Then we have to build the walls and the roof. 

After we are done with the roof, we can build the tower and the doors/windows. 

When we're done with the whole structure of the building, then we can paint it.

Today we planed the building process and tried to find the dimensions on the blue prints.

Next time we can start to learn how to use Google SketchUp and try to start with the floor and the simplest things.

We printed out the blue prints, and started on the floors. We struggle with reading the blue prints, so this can take some more time than we thought.

Today we worked a lot on the building, and we are done soon.

Next time we just have to make the tower, make a roof and paint the church.

We made the roof and painted the building.

The church walls are white and of wood, but we can`t find

something like that on GoogleSketchUp, so we justmade a white wall.

Today we found out that our tower was wrong built. We looked at some pictures of the church, and it was a big difference, so we had to fix it. We can do that next time.

Today we made the tower again. We still have some few adjustments to make. But hopefully we`re done soon.

Today we had to work home, we thought we had good time, but now it`s really much stress to get the 3D church done. We couldn't meet up, so we had to work in different places. That's always much harder than working together. I (Marie) made the tower once more because when we opened the file, it was just gone. Then I tried to paint the church in the right colors. I searched for Grong church, but couldn't find any photos I could use. So I searched for Nidarosdomen and used some pictures to paint the tower. It didn't look like Grong on the pictures, so I removed it. Sara painted the church and made windows and a door.
