On the last booster meeting it was stated that ya'll would be taking $3000 from banquet budget and moving it into the travel budget for next year's trip to Florida. I have a huge issue with that. My daughter is a senior and this will be it for her. You are taking money from not only her but others as well. I am all for you saving money and trying to be conscious of what you are spending but you are taking money that hasn't even been spent yet. If there ends up being money left over by all means move it. Last year alone for food we spent $4000, I am not saying spend that but lets be realistic. We have more girls this year, costs are higher and it's just plain wrong. The girls deserve a great banquet just as we have given them in the past. I heard that you got Texas Roadhouse to supply some sliders... really?? Again, not OK with this option. You might as well turn it into a pot luck with some crock pot meals and call it a day. You might not care because you are looking at what benefits you and your family in the long run but my child was part of the New York trip and we paid 90% of that out of our own pockets, you should have to do the same or do some additional fundraisers to make your money but I will not and am not OK with "funding" your trip or taking money from a budget that is for ALL the girls. It is absolutely absurd to me that this entire booster thinks this is OK, and that this decision was made without your president present in the discussion. Hopefully we can come up with a decision that benefits all involved but the way the board acted on the call it pretty much shows how this will go.

My question (Tara Barton) is now that the VATRE has not been approved, how will that impact the need for support from boosters next year and future years? My guess is that boosters will be more necessary to fund coaches wish list items, etc. since I’m expecting other budgets will be cut.
