Many of these powers sought out to research higher calibre rifles hoping to be more effective on the battle field. The largest of these rifles used by the major powers were the anti-tank rifles. The impact was dependent upon the training and skill of the operator himself. Much has been made to improve the rifle, they were able to fire 10 or more round per minute. It was the snipers best friend. The sniper was a crucial element of the sniper's  along with the human observer. With the rifle in a sniper hands the impact he could would be amazing they would be able to take out enemies quickly, it all depend on the type of rifle and the user. Weapons were very important, especially since all the national powers wanted to have their hands on it. The rifle had started very basic, but given time it had started to develop into even more mass destruction. They are shot from the shoulder lever. They have a long spiraled groove barrel that makes the bullet spin when it is shot out. A riffle in WW1 was one of the most powerful and used weapon. It was absolutely very deadly and a lot of people would die when they would get shot by a rifle.

Anybody that got shot by a rifle in WW1, probably died because it was a strong shot. Back then, bullets were made of lead and brass, caps and gun powder. Back then it was a long process to fire a riffle. These weapons were used for all the four years of the war.
