Girls usually play the game. It has a ball and several "bekel" seeds. A player must throw the ball and take a bekel seed one at a time, allowing the ball to bounce once. After that, a player takes two, three, four, etc. until all bekel seeds are taken. If the player fails to take the seeds or catch the ball, the other player will take a turn. The player completing most sets of the game will be the winner.


I think bekel is important for children because this game helps them practice their eye-hand motor coordination. Through this game, children also learn to count and follow instructions (rule of the game). By playing this game, children develop confidence, patience, and sportsmanship.


I am not sure if children nowadays still play this game. In the past, I used to play this game with 1-2 friends and we enjoyed the game so much.
