For my students to understand that there is a lot of views in certain situation and we need to build the empathy for one another. If we make everyone feel included we also create a safe environment for everyone to enjoy their learning and growth. This character will bring out the best in them and be a positive individual.

Like was shared earlier, being inclusive doesn’t always mean about children with special needs. As the class is filled with diverse learners, we should always show empathy and put in the effort to add in differentiated instructions. Everyone is different and has different perspectives. At a young age, I feel that it is important for kids to understand inclusivity as this will definitely affect their behaviour and how they perceive things in the future. Teaching them to be kind and understanding helps to mould the children’s character. As much as I would always remind my kids to put themselves in someone else’s shoes, I would always remind myself that as well.

This should apply to EVERY students: smart, disabled etc.
No student for any reason should feel like they belong to a different category or group. And its also a class effort. The teacher should not just make sure that he/she is being inclusive. More than that, the teacher should develop a culture of valuing inclusivity in the class so that regardless of the teacher's presence, the students will practice inclusivity.
