The anti-federalist democratic-republican party had successfully pushed out the federalists, creating unity in congress. Jackson was known during his campaigning for supporting the common man and yeoman farmer. He was controversial because he wanted more power for the states through nullification. From this, the election of Andrew Jackson caused the democratic-republicans split into two parties: the Whigs and the anti-masonic party. Along with this division, his tariff of abominations divided the North and South even further. With Jackson now as president, the era of quick feelings came to a halt and troubles resumed throughout the nation, specifically, the downfall of the economy came in 1830 when Jackson destroyed the national bank and created “pet banks,”  formed the two-party system, and attempted to gain more land through the removal of the Natives. Consequently, these events lead to the inflation of America’s currency, the growth of expansionism which led to thousands of Native American deaths, and white male suffrage.

He gave white men the ability to vote regardless of their social status for the first time in American history. However, it was proven that his ideals were on track to destroy the country.  He had many traits of monarchy powers that the American citizens feared, which included holding grudges that resulted in decisions that weren’t in the best interests of the country at the time.  Jackson passed the Tariff of Abominations and pushed for westward expansion once elected which angered the American citizens and led to a divided government into a two-party system while dividing the country as well.

More specifically, the battle of New Orleans. This is the battle when Major General Andrew Jackson led one of the greatest American victories in the battle of 1812. The respect earned by Jackson from the American population overall led to his demanding instatement into the oval office. Despite his moving feats during the war, as president, there were major flaws that can’t be left unturned. He was an infamous hypocrite as his previous promises to decrease the army and to limit the power of the government were not fulfilled. He instead grew the size of the army and navy to combat the barbary states. He was also a hypocrite through The Indian Removal act of 1830 which went directly against the constitution as he blatantly ignored respect for foreign nations, more specifically Native Americans. Another way he proved himself to be a major hypocrite is that he promised to make the Union a better place and despite his promises, he decided to veto the creation of the Maysville Road, just to spite his enemies, which not only proves that he was a hypocrite but also an immature child. Throughout it all, a fraction of the public began to change their views and began to form new parties just in spite of Andrew Jackson. Some factors that prompted this view of Andrew Jackson consisted of his sympathizing towards the common man, which in turn empowered them to participate more in government, and creating a feud between the Native Americans and U.S. Government by becoming a war hero known for his battles against the Natives. His opinion of the natives was full of hostile nature, claiming that they were savages which prompted problems between the two sides. Andrew Jackson enacted acts such as the Universal White Male Suffrage act of 1837 and the Indian Removal Act which only strengthened the claim of how reforming his actions were that eventually lead to causing a drastic change in the political system of the United States, which led to the powerful country America is today.

Jackson gained the love and votes of the Yeoman farmers with the state bank's development. Before his presidency, he was a general in the United State army where he grew fame and he served in both houses of the US congress.  During his presidency, he set the Branches in equal trem with the congress in terms of power and ability to shape law and government power.  One the impacts that changed the way the political system would work is Universal Male Suffrage. This allowed white males, property or property, to vote. This would change future campaigning as well as voting in general
When Jackson left the presidency he left a big impact on US history.
