         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Grace Coyle made a huge impact on group work within the social work field</p></li><li><p>Grace Coyle wrote about the formulation of group process for her dissertation where it gained her a lot of attention about her ideas</p></li><li><p>She worked with many other people to illuminate and bring attention to how important group leadership and work is.</p></li><li><p>She also served for the National Conference of Social Work, the American Association of Social Workers, and the National Conference of Social Work Education</p></li><li><p>Coyle advocated for expansion of government services to help solve social problems and working together as groups to solve these issues.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Grace Coyle’s&nbsp; speeches and writings helped with the acceptance of group work as a component of social work</p></li><li><p>With her advocating for expansion of government services to help with widespread social issues.</p></li><li><p>Grace Coyle felt that case work and group work had a lot in common and that Bothe would benefit off of each others use</p></li><li><p>She argued that group workers need to become more aware of personality issues and family relationships, while at the same time case workers need to be more knowledgeable of group dynamics and the use of leisure activity</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Some relevant historical events and developments during her time of advocacy are the progressive era which was a time of heavy social reform movements there was a lot of social activism government intervention and beliefs in solving social issues</p></li><li><p>This was also a time of the settlement house movement which&nbsp; grew in the late 19<sup>th</sup>century and Grace Coyle was heavily involved in settlement houses working at them for several years with both children and adults</p></li><li><p>She was also working on social policy during the time of the Great Depression which not only was hard for everyone but led to widespread poverty, unemployment, and economic hardship which was a time where Coyle’s advocacy for community organization and group work was very necessary&nbsp; due to the hardships</p></li><li><p>She was during a time of the most need for advocation for group work and community organization with her also going through WWII&nbsp; and the Civil Rights Movement, as well as the rise of social work as a profession in general</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>The NASW Code of Ethics involves six values every social worker should follow these include, Social Justice, Dignity and Worth of the Person, Service, Importance of Human Relationships, and Competence</p></li><li><p>Grace Coyle demonstrated all of these core values but one of the most prominent in her time was Social Justice which calls for social workers to advocate for policies and practices that promote social change for well being of all people and Grace Coyle definitely demonstrated this</p></li><li><p>An example of how she demonstrates social justice is how she was deeply invested in addressing the inequality’s in the roles and especially within the community organization context with particular concern for marginalized groups she believed in empowering communities to help work together</p></li></ul>]]></description>
