Q1: The students are more focused on the main idea/bigger picture, especially since they had to do book reports before.

Q2: Pros: It's a good idea to let students choose books they like. Cons: If you make questions too specific, students won't pay attention to the main idea.

Q3: Encourage students to read actively by taking notes, highlighting key details, or jotting down questions as they read. This will help them remember important information for the tests. Also, familiarizing yourself with the types of questions typically asked in multiple-choice tests, such as character analysis, plot sequence, or identifying themes can help you be more prepared to take tests.

Q4: Ms Wiggins can do one of two things. She could either prepare the students better for the test by letting them know what concepts are on the test. Or she could change the test to be more book report-focused by asking questions on the bigger picture of the book like theme or tone.

Therefore, it might not be that successful compared to longer-timed tests. Some other ways to do that is to make certain adjustments to the short-timed tests to give students more time on questions and still allow them to learn by fact groups and at their own pace.]

Q2: [notes on your response]

Q3: Mr. Dumphy is attempting to ensure that his students understand basic addition and subtraction by presenting all of the problems with addends in reverse order.

Q4: Because these students are interested in taking the short test.
