         <title>Difference between Dependent and Independent Variables on Quantitative Research</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>The two main variables in an experiment are the independent and dependent variable.<br><br></div><div><br>An <a href="https://www.thoughtco.com/definition-of-independent-variable-605238"><strong>independent variable</strong></a> is the variable that is changed or controlled in a scientific experiment to test the effects on <a href="https://www.thoughtco.com/definition-of-dependent-variable-604998">the dependent variable</a>.<br><br></div><div><br>A <strong>dependent variable</strong> is the variable being tested and measured <a href="https://www.thoughtco.com/design-science-fair-experiment-606827">in a scientific experiment</a>.<br><br></div><div><br>The dependent variable is 'dependent' on the independent variable. As the experimenter changes the <a href="https://www.thoughtco.com/understanding-variables-in-science-609060">independent variable</a>, the effect on the <a href="https://www.thoughtco.com/what-is-a-dependent-variable-606108">dependent variable</a> is observed and recorded.<br><br></div><div><br></div><div><br>For example, a scientist wants to see if the brightness of light has any effect on a moth being attracted to the light. The brightness of the light is controlled by the scientist. This would be the independent variable. How the moth reacts to the different light levels (distance to light source) would be the dependent variable.<br><br></div><div><br>When results are plotted in graphs, the convention is to use the independent variable as the x-axis and the dependent variable as the y-axis.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Importance of Quantitative Research to my field as a Caregiver</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the case of caregivers, the research trend moves from a perspective centered on the interaction between people and their environment, on education in caregiving and the caregivers, as well as the experiences of caregivers in the care of patients with certain health problems, that focus on the creation and confirmation of theories and models to the most current, to find evidence that could be used in practice, which resulted in evidence-based practice.<br><br>Quantitative research is one in which quantitative data on variables are collected and analyzed. In this way, this type of research is able to identify the deep nature of realities, its system of relations, its dynamic structure. It can also determine the strength of association or correlation between variables, the generalization and objectification of the results through a sample that makes inference to a population. In addition to the study of association or correlation, quantitative research may also, at its time, make causal inferences which explains why things happen or not in a particular way.</div>]]></description>
