The Importance of Digital Citizenship Education

When a school implements any form of technology into the classroom, there will be some risk involved, especially regarding online safety. If students do not understand not only how to protect themselves and their privacy but also the permanence of their actions while online, this could result in widespread misuse and disciplinary issues with students. However, if schools allocate a relatively small amount of resources to teaching kids about the concepts of digital citizenship and footprint, technology will only serve as an extremely positive tool for education. You may find some of the resources that I have compiled below helpful in teaching these concepts to your students.
