Melodi states Sexual reproductive health rights are essentially all about "Love, Sex and Life." She shares stories of the women she has met during her time there. It's kind of sad how young girls are embarrassed and feel scared when they first go through menstruation simply because they were not educated on it and didn't have reproductive health access. A young girl shared her story with Melodi on how she felt disgusted with herself of getting her period. She was scared that she was bleeding and had no idea why. She said she told her mom and all she said was "Well, you're not allowed to play with boys anymore." The young girl was confused about this because she did not know what was going on. They are also not supplied with pads or tampons which is not sanitary or comfortable for women.

- What I learnt about this topic that surprised me most was how many countries around the world don't have access to sexual and reproductive health care and because of that these women are having unwanted pregnancies and being forced to raise children when they are not ready or they are just children themselves. b.  Provide a real-life example of how this topic is relevant or interesting for you. Relate the topic to your life in some way which will likely be a comparison since we live in a different country than those being explored.
- This topic is interesting to me because I have never really researched about women's sexual/reproductive rights around the world, I was always so focused on just Canada and the USA when is came to abortion laws, contraceptives etc. I don't think it's possible for me to relate this topic to my life because i've never experienced having my rights to my body taken away. I have always had good health care, sexual health clinics, contraceptives and places to go if I were ever in a situation with an unwanted pregnancy. I've always had a choice with my body unlike many other women who are forced to just have babies and not have protected and safe sex from a young age. I think that makes me very thankful for where i've grown up and I honestly do hope that soon there will be reproductive and sexual rights and safe places to talk about it for women in every other country because every women should be allowed to decide what she wants to do with her body and it should never be a mans or governments choice. c.     Which research did you find most interesting?  Why?
- The most interesting research I found was the Sexual Reproductive Health Rights in The Netherlands. It's unfortunate how the women there have no access to reproductive health education and clinics. They also are not supplied with tampons or pads. I could not imagine not having menstruation products. 

d.     What are you most likely to remember from this research?
I will remember how there is a significant number of women across the globe who do not have access to the reproductive health we do here in Canada. I am glad I grew up with the resources and education I received.

"The short and long-term consequences of such violence on the health and well-being of women are many and significant. In addition to the immediate trauma and injuries, women may have to face other health issues including unintended pregnancy, mental health problems, sexually transmitted infections, and, in some regions, HIV. In many settings the health services to respond to survivors of violence are non-existent or, at best, limited. In addition, many survivors may not seek care and thus suffer even more health consequences" (WHO, 2018). Health services are usually limited so the World Health Organization is helping women with providing health care.
