The main purpose of this session was to educate students about academic integrity, cheating, and illegal activity. I knew nothing about academic injustice. From this lecture, I learned various forms of academic misconduct, such as poor academics, plagiarism, and collusion. Plagiarism is a portrayal of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as his original work (Elizabeth, 2012, p.140). When I was doing my research report, I read different articles on my research topics by different authors and wrote down these ideas in my own words. Furthermore, the importance of the collusion mentioned by Natalia Shiraz was very beneficial to me, and I wrote my own research report without the help of anyone else. She explained secondary data. She told that Secondary data analysis refers to the analysis of existing data collected by others. After that, she compared Secondary data to Primary data. Moreover, Primary data is original data that researchers collect for a specific purpose (Jaya, 2013, p. 1478) On the other hand, Secondary data was collected by others for the purposes of previously done research. She also discussed different types of secondary data such as website, newspapers ,and journal articles.
