people who are just like the rest of us, working and going about their daily
lives. There are people who have performed heroic acts more than once in
their lives, but even those people do not live every moment of their lives in an

Moreover, it claims that modern heroes deal with the same daily issues we face on a normal basis, yet when under pressure the true heroism shines out of them. For instance, it depicts Chesley's heroic act with landing a geese-filled airplane engine on the Hudson river, the 9/11 heroic incidents, and Amelia Earhart's solo flight through the Atlantic Ocean as ordinary people with normal day-to-day life problems that have stuck their feet up for other people. And the writer portrays multiple of those heroic acts by telling us the stories of Chelsy, Amelia Earhart, and the stories of the people that helped on 9/11. The writer’s intention of writing the essay is to persuade the reader that a hero is not born a hero, the writer’s implying that a hero is made a hero by his own action.
