Plato's Allegory of the Cave and Psychology, which is the study of human behavior, are connected in today's society because both ideas are telling you the behavior of humans. The allegory of the cave is telling you the story of three prisoners, who spent most of their lives chained up in a cave and facing the wall the whole time so they cannot see the outside world but only shadows. One of the prisoners gets free and when he sees the outside world, it had change his way of thinking and belief. While he tries to convince the two other prisoners that the shadows are not real but just reflections of the outside world. The two prisoners are too stubborn and ignorant and thus they refused to believe the third prisoner. This story in my opinion shows you that people can be very stubborn and ignorant like that even in today standards because everyone has their own point of views and even when you try or even show that person actual evidence, they will not believe you because it's their way of thinking.
