I am a Computer Science student specializing in game development. I like playing video games because it helps me relieve stress. One PPOP culture I'd like to feature is Pinoy Hip-Hop. This genre has surged in popularity and has become the voice for the youth and addresses societal issues, personal struggles, and the Filipino pride. Artist like Al James, Shanti Dope, Skusta Clee and Flow0-G, have not only brought only unique narratives to the music industry and Filipino culture, but also reinvigorated traditional Filipino storytelling with modern beats and lyrics. Through Pinoy Hip-Hop, young Filipinos find a voice and connect over shared experiences, fostering unity within the community. Lastly, Pinoy Hip-Hop celebrates Filipino culture in a way that feels modern, relevant, and socially impactful.
