Earth Science is probably my favorite area to teach. When I was a classroom teacher, I planned scavenger hunts for my students which encouraged them to work in small groups to find various items, leaves, acorns, twigs, mosses, etc. My students would spend many afternoons exploring the woods and playground around our school collecting items that were on their lists. We would then use our five senses to investigate what they had found.  Our class discussions led to additional PBL assignments about animals, soil, rocks, seasons, and plants. Depending on my mood, I enjoy listening to Rap, Classic Rock, Contemporary Christian, Hip Hop, Big Band, Hard Rock, Grunge, Pop, Jazz, Classical, and Country.
