Families would go every single day and they would spend lots of time there. This is where they would go to create and closer bond with God.          <description><![CDATA[<p>The bible was the only thing Puritans were allowed to read. Especially the children, they were strictly forbidden from reading anything else. They believed that this book was God's divinely-inspired word. This book was the foundation of the Puritan community. It brought everyone together and formed and community and stemmed similarities between everyone. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Puritan Beliefs </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>They believed that Satan was the stem of all evil. They also believed that everyone was predetermined to go to heaven or hell. If you were destined to go to heaven you were called an elect and if you were destined to go to hell you were considered dammed. They thought that there was no way for you to changed if you were dammed or an elect. But, they did think there was a way of figuring out if you were an elect. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Witch Accusation</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Talk of witchcraft wasn't super popular in the first 60 years of the Puritan community. It started to spread rapidly when a girl named Betty Parris started to exhibit strange behavior which some considered her being possesed. After that a couple of Betty's friends started to show similar behavior. This was a shock to the entire community.After the girls showed this strange behavior, accusations of witchcraft spread through the entire community and neighorboring communities.  </p>]]></description>

         <title>Public Hangings</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>After people were accused they were then jailed and had a trial. Throughout the entirety of the witch trials over 200 people were jailed. Of those 200, 19 men and women were publicly hung. Most people sat in jail for months with no evidence againist them and no trial. When word of a hanging got out many people showed up to see alleged witches being killed. </p>]]></description>
