         <description><![CDATA[<p>Hitler wanted western Czechoslovakia because of the high German speaking population. Ultimately Neville, Edouard, Benito, and Hitler met up at the Munich agreement and compromised that Hitler can have that section, but he cant take any more land from Czechoslovakia. He ultimately broke that promise however. </p>]]></description>

In these battles the KMT under the order of Chiang Kai-shek, was trying to completely wipe out the CCP, a brutal event known as the 'The Long March', resulted,ted in the deaths of over 93,000 KMT soldiers and civilians.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1931, Japan invaded Manchuria, which was only the start of more Chinese territory being lost to Japan. When China turned to the league of nations for help, Japan left the league of nations and continued the invasion of China. This inevitably lead to almost all of northern China being taken, and 1,000's of Chinese civilians paid the price, most notably in Nanjing, where 300,000 Chinese civilians were killed</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The U.S. had little involvement for the majority of these events, only truly getting involved after Pearl Harbor, but we were providing materials to various nations. When Japan became allies with Germany in 1940, we responded with an embargo that ceased all trade with Japan which is highly significant as Japan got the majority of their resources from us.</p>]]></description>
