Some of these acts were as follows: The Sugar Act, The Boston Port Act, and The Quartering Act.

The significance of these acts were that they were the last straw in a long standing fit of tyranny orchestrated by Great Britain. They forced troops into the homes of the colonists, they taxed their sugar, making rum more expensive to make, and required them to pay for the  tea they destroyed. 

In conclusion, the overall result of these acts was inevitably the Revolutionary war.

And when people don't get their rum, they get angry, and, well, riot.
This was Britain's first attempt at raising taxes after the French and Indian War.
