What are you most proud of in your role as an Early childhood educator?

What i am most proud of as an educator is that i get to see them grow each day, i get to see them achieve “impossible” tasks, I get to see my students develop trust with their classmate or their teacher. Seeing former students succeed grow and become productive, and confident in their own little body and minds. Watching students grow and move from dependency to becoming self directed learners who are proud of their own work. My proud accomplishment is being an impactful educator, i am most proud of the students i taught with whom have given me many flowers, i never knew how i impacted their lives. I am glad and still living to enjoy these moments and memories.

Janaya Angelina

The thing I am most proud about as an Early Childhood Educator is how I am reliable and show up to work everyday to try my best to help make a difference in all the children’s lives. It is important that the children have someone they can rely on, someone who they are comfortable with and that they know they can have me there for them, because we never know what is going on outside of the daycare in their homes. I am proud about how they can rely on me when they need help, or a listening ear, or a warm hug. I am proud that the children feel safe around me. I am proud that the children enjoy being around me. It makes me so happy to see when the children are learning and growing everyday.

-Lisa

I’m proud of how we all have never given up even if we wanted to, I’m also proud that I have been a part of all the children’s learning journey, how the parents trust us enough to keep their child/ren in daycare.

-Angel Ruth

What i am most proud of is waking up and getting to work, first few days of work I was nervous, then I got used to it, I was most proud of doing the arts and crafts because it was my first time to do crafts with a lot of children, i am still proud of doing them because there’s a lot of cutting and gluing to do especially when were short staff.. also letting them use cognitive and fine motor skills by cutting gluing, colouring, using their mind… -krisy

The one thing I am most proud of is, my confidence.

In the beginning of work, I felt shy to be doing circle time with the children. But seeing that they can listen and play along while I am teaching and reading to them, makes me feel proud of myself. Knowing that they enjoy doing circle time when I am in front makes me feel more confidant knowing that the children are willing to have my attention when I need it.

-Hillary

MY PATIENCE! (Lol) I enjoy my role, I really do but as an impatient person, I’m proud of it. The other things I’m proud of, is that it gave me more skills to this role if I keep up with working as an ECE. I am proud of myself for pushing myself to go to work and school even on the days I didn’t want to, this is an important and big role, as their mama or dad goes to work, we’re given the opportunity to help them with their child/ren’s care and help them with their growth. I am proud of doing crafts, I never know what to do and try to think of their developments - easy or hard they still get it done with the help of their teachers. I am a proud mother to also be teaching my child at home.

Hattie Aningaat.
