Natural gases was the second most significant energy source as it provided more than one fourth of the total energy needs. Coal provided more than 20% of the energy demands for the USA in this decade while two other minor sources for energy were nuclear power and hydroelectric power and each of which provided 5% of the total energy requirement.</div><div>In the next decade, the use of nuclear power as a source of energy in the USA doubled while the use of oil decreased. Use of nuclear power for energy in the USA doubled while the use of oil decreased. Use of coal for energy increased slightly while natural gas provided almost same energy as it did in the previous decade. Hydroelectric power provided the same percentage of energy in this decade which was the only energy source which remained unchanged.</div>]]></description>
