Literariness on the other hand, is the criticism of the quality of literature. It is a characteristic of the work of art. It is an assessment of the literature. Thus, I have understood that both are interrelated in the aspect of literary reading but they have different functions.

While Miall and Kuiken placed greater focus on the styles and textual elements, Zwaan also discussed the effects on the reader's comprehension. Yes, they are interrelated with each other. However, both have massive differences but their differences have impact and makes up one another. The lesson made me see literature in a deeper perspective. It also brought me to learning theories and how these specific theories influence literary texts in so many aspects. I realized that these theories, I often encounter them but did not pay much attention to it as I thought it was insignificant. Through this discussion, I learned that it was not irrelevant at all. I just took  the information for granted, I only have surface knowledge about the topic, and my knowledge with literature was literally poor and subpar.
