On June 7 2015 at the OCBC Arena,  Singapore fought hard against Malaysia, and won with the score of 46–43 in the final of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games netball tournament.

In 2007, Tao Li became the first Singaporean to reach the finals at the FINA World Championships. With that, she also became the first Singaporean to qualify for an Olympic swimming final, and came in fifth.

Singapore’s women’s table tennis team consisting of Li Jiawei, Feng Tianwei and Wang Yuegu were pitted against the world’s best table tennis players to win Singapore its second Olympic medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The team of three won a silver medal.

Born in 1933, Tang Pui Wah was a remarkable sportswoman. She  became Singapore's first female Olympian, doing the nation proud leaping elegantly over hurdles in the 1950s.

During the SEA Games in 2015, the womens' volleyball team fought their way to the Semi-finals and won the Bronze medal. It was a great achievement for the team that emerged in 2012.
