I liked Blendspace because you can flip your classroom and post a week's worth of lessons on it.

That's what 12 year old Jason Bates would prefer. He has all the initials: PPD-NOS, ASD, maybe ADD, ADHD.
He doesn't "do well" socially.
Every day of his life he does or says something inappropriate
He cannot control himself.
He constantly reminds himself to breathe.
He gets bullied at school by the Neuro-Typicals, the "normal" kids.
Jason thinks: 
"Why do people want everyone to act just like they do? Talk like they do. Look like they do. Act like they do. 
And if you don't— 
If you don't, people make the assumption that you do not feel what they feel. 
And then they make the assumption— 
That you must not feel anything at all. "
There's only one place Jason can be himself: at his Storyboard writing site.
There he has a friend: Phoenixbird.
She actually likes his work, thinks he's creative. He is. 
 He dares to imagine Phoenixbird could be his girlfriend.
They have never met. Never seen each other's image. 
But now his parents want to take him to a Storyboard convention.
Phoenixbird is going to be there.
Jason worries that she once she meets him, she too, like everyone else, will see him as
Anything But Typical.
