I try to do my best in all of my subjects and spend a lot of time being involved in student life. I'm an Events Crew Captain, and part of MTC Leadership and I really love working with audiovisual technologies. I love playing both of my cellos, but especially German-made one, both alone, but also in the company of other musicians such as my string quartet. 
I also really enjoy listening to lots of different music and podcasts!

My top five strengths were deemed to be:
1. Creativity
Thinking of novel and productive ways to conceptualize and do things; includes artistic achievement but is not limited to it.
2. Bravery
Not shrinking from threat, challenge, difficulty, or pain; speaking up for what’s right even if there’s opposition; acting on convictions even if unpopular; includes physical bravery but is not limited to it.
3. Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence
Noticing and appreciating beauty, excellence, and/or skilled performance in various domains of life, from nature to art to mathematics to science to everyday experience.
4. Social Intelligence
Being aware of the motives/feelings of others and oneself; knowing what to do to fit into different social situations; knowing what makes other people tick.
5. Kindness
Doing favours and good deeds for others; helping them; taking care of them.

I feel that doing this character strength survey was actually quite beneficial as it reinforced my existing prehibitions of my self-perceived strengths. In the lesson, we received more information on random input as a way of generating ideas. It involves putting two objects together like fruit and a mug and seeing how they can be combined to become an ideal product. We also covered the applications of the 1 + 1 thinking routine. 
In our second lesson online as part of the lockdown, we gained access to the live planner for action project which I will use to help keep me on top of work. We also used our divergent thinking skills to identify different ways to repurpose ping pong balls into other products. Our group came up with:
- Seasoning shakers
- Egg shaker (instrument)

We were given various objects and had to come up with an alternate purpose for them, and this would be followed by a short pitch to the class.
Xavier and I received a window squeegee that we thought could be repurposed to become a gardening and construction tool. It would be able to flatten out different surfaces.
In the end, we completed our pitch in front of the class. - As there are less distractions while at home he was able to finish his work approximately 3 times faster. This resulted in boredom.  
- His father resulted in a constraint as he would often distract Xavier
- Teachers didn't set enough extra (optional) work.

It aims for us to develop an idea that fixes an existing issue in a council area. For us this has been resolving the ongoing issue of inadequate street lighting that makes streets often unsafe. 
We have developed the idea to implement bioluminescent trees and LED lighting to solve this issue.
