I thought it was very interesting how the internet actually travels underwater! I wonder how the cables actually survived being under the sea, and how petroleum jelly (vasaline) does anything!

That is so cool because it goes way under the oceans yet, it still goes through in seconds or maybe even milliseconds!

Wow I had no IDEA that internet cables went under the oceans!!!!! I always thought that they where in the sky!!!!! But even though they explained it I still wonder how is it protected just by those small layers of things? And how does nothing bother it like if a crab was digging in the sand and found it should it want to bite it or something.

I had no idea that the Internet cables were underwater! I wonder if the cables were somewhere else before they were underground, and are they still being installed?

This really made me think. I was wondering how they even got this to work by putting the cables under water? This Monday curiosity was very mind blowing to me because I never even thought where the cables were that powered everything

I think the video was really interesting! I never knew that instead of our stuff getting saved to the cloud it gets saved to the ocean. I wonder why it doesn’t get saved to the cloud and the ocean, that would be cool.

This was a cool video because we basically got to find out how we can search everything up on the internet like where were Lamborghinis made,what was the first computer,and tons of other stuff like that.

I thought it was cool how at the end it showed us the dude diving in to the ocean.

I knew that we had cables underwater, but not internet cables! I thought the internet was just satellites! With these cables, what about cables to space? Why did sharks even bite the cables? 〰🦈

That is so crazy. It is hard to believe that a bunch of wires are what keep us connected to the rest of the world. I wonder why we call the internet the cloud if it is like hundreds of feet under the sea. I wonder who's idea it was to run all these wires on the sea floor.

I did not know that. I think it is amazing that the wires can be underwater. We always are told technology and water do not mix. I wonder what other sort of materials are used to keep the water out. Also, I wonder how much it costs to create, plant in the sand, etc.

I am curious why it’s even called the cloud if it isn’t even in the clouds! Did they do it because they considered doing it in the sky? If so did they just stick to the name? I am really happy I saw this, because I never even thought how the internet would work. My last question is what would they call it if they gave it a name associated with underwater. I think it would be The Fish. ☁️

I thought there was only satellites in space, not in the deep deep ocean. I think it’s so weird that we’re connected but a whole bunch of wires. Would they need to get a new one of repair it every few years or....

That is really weird. Who knew our internet was UNDERWATER? I thought they were underground. I wonder how many times the cables have been attacked by sea animals, or if the sand and water affect the way the internet works over time. Also, back when cables were invented and people were trying to decide where to put them, who thought, Oh, lets put those new cables a few hundred miles under the sea?

I did not know that the connection to the world is underwater. I wonder what technology they use today and what the difference between the technology in putting the cables now and when they started putting them down. How does the protection for the cables stay so that water doesn’t seep into the cables how does it not wear off over time. What happens when the cables malfun do they have to go deep sea diving.
