In Georgia they had practiced many faiths, in fact, the only religion that we did not allow was catholicism and judaism, which is pretty good for right now if you compare it to the other colonies. Although the church of England was implemented into Georgia and the other colonies by force, the Church of England was loosely followed by the Georgians and they had still practiced their own religion. He had wanted to make Georgia a place for the poor and had banned slavery, although three years after he left we had started the industry right up again. He had first settled in Savannah, Georgia and had been given strict orders from the king to name it after him, so he named it Georgia. He had wanted to give people like prisoners a second chance in Georgia so when he left he freed Prisoners, which then came to be great people like shopkeepers. Although he had first wanted to turn Georgia into a silk farming colony the colony became a nut and peaches kind of colony, that helped a lot with their economy. Our founder, James Oglethorpe had wanted to bring debtors from London's debtor prisoners a second chance at life in Georgia. It was also founded for poor people which James Oglethorpe had worked with while he was in London. James Oglethorpe had also wanted to get a better economy by making a silk farming type of colony, although that did not work out he had gotten a better economy from it which had gotten his colony to build up higher and higher. In Georgia, we are given more religious freedom than any other colony has and we are allowed to practice almost any religion that we want and desire. We have a strong economy and a good food supply, it would be mind-boggling if we ever ran out of it. We also have the protection of Great Britain on our side, which has one of the strongest militaries in the world. Our founder, James Oglethorpe had also wanted to make Georgia a place for everyone, even the poor. We are also leaders in the deerskin trade, which had us on top of money in the colonies. We also exported tobacco, cotton, corn, grain, and vegetables also with the help of our slaves. Although in the first few years of the colony James Oglethorpe became the unofficial governor and ruler of Georgia. He created laws like no alcohol or slavery allowed in the colony, and had the decision where people could stay and how much land they could own (500 acres). Many people had disagreed with his rules though, and threw him out of office as the governor and ruler. Then his trustees, or men took his place and immediately got rid of his laws and made Georgia a royal colony.
