What perpetuates this way of thinking is this type of adds is shown in media.  It is everywhere in social media showing the super skinny models and dieting adds.
We should make advertising more inclusive to show all body types not just the thin models.  We should also show healthy people of all sizes exercising and doing everyday activities.  
I definitely think the media, along with the companies, should be held responsible for bad advertising. They have a large effect on society and should take their work more serious.
