USING DRAMA IN THE SCIENCE CLASS

One of the contents that my students were supposed to learn in November was the difference between atoms and molecules. For a 4th grader it is quite hard as it's a very abstract concept, so I thought to use what I learn about drama and multisensory learning to design an easy game in which they could visualize the difference between a molecule and an atom.
I told them that they were atoms, so they had to move freely around the class. Then, I shouted molecules of X number of atoms and they had to join together holding arms.
They enjoyed the game quite a lot, as it involved movement and they understood that a molecule is when 2 or more different atoms join together
