Today, I taught one teaching class and I was a relief teacher for one class. At 8:10 a.m., I entered 2O for my relief class for one period only. I let the students do their own homework during the session though they were asked to do group work. After I finished the class I devoted my time to developing the lesson plan of the day.

At 12:15 p.m., I joined the Class 3S and taught them with new topic That’s Entertainment. I was mainly concentrating on speaking and listening activities, altering the spoken part by offering the students with stickers for volunteering to answer. These stickers shall reflected to their Pentaksiran Bilik Darjah (PBD) evaluation marks. 80 % of the students enthusiastically raised their hands to participate, and this made me happy out of joy that the students were willing to learn.

Tuesday 08 October

Today, I taught one class of teaching and no relief classes took place today. I entered Class 3K for a one hour and ten minute class starting at 9:30 a.m. As with the previous day I used the same lesson which covered the speaking and listening aspect of learning. As before, I employed the same procedure where I encouraged students’ speaking practice by giving them praise stickers for them to submit towards their PBD Pentaksiran Bilik Darjah scores. Class 3K in which 98% of the students engaged in the speaking exercises and unlike some of the students in Class 3S, were very enthusiastic. I intend to carry out this rewarding procedure to the end of my practicum.

Wednesday 09 October

The teaching periods which I taught today included two teaching classes and no relief class. I arrived at Class 3K at 8.50 am for a 1 hour 20 minutes lesson. I taught them speaking or listening. The same lesson plan as on Mondays 3S class. The students who volunteered were offered praise award stickers which will be incorporated in their PBD marks.

Then, at 10.10 am. I went to one period of Class 3S. I provided them with error correction exercises for them to get used to exam like questions in English Paper 1.

Thursday 10 October

I was involved in three classes today, two of which were teaching classes. In the morning, at 7.30, I went to conduct two periods lesson in Class 3 S. I also have also taught them on how to write an informal letter.

After that, I attended Class 3K for one period. I asked them to go and do error correction on part 1 of UASA English Paper 1.
