It is like most drugs and once you start having it every night or so it will become a pattern and you won’t be able to stop drinking.
Using alcohol if you take it extremely could possibly lead to death.

Ethanol is also added into gasoline and motor fuel for your car, but storing it for a long time could end up being a growth of acidic bacteria in the alcohol mixture that could cause damage.
But there are other types of chemicals in different drinks of alcohol, methyl, propyl and butyl, on some occasions when you drink these, it could lead to blindness and death even if you take small doses of it.
