Impactful moments/experiences for me:
-A student getting sick in my class and having all my students jumping to help.
-A student that habitually missed school came to school for 2 straight months because of incentives we worked towards.
-My ex baseball players having tears in their eyes when I told them I was going to be coaching at another school.

Impactful moments/experiences for my students:
-The student that came into school and stop cutting classes seeing her test scores improve dramatically proving to her she was smarter than she thought.
-Holding students to a certain standard during the year made most of them start holding themselves to that same standard. 
-A student getting sick in my class, every kid was ready to help, I believe this experience showed the rest of the class the kind hearted nature they all had in common. 

I think a lot of these experiences run from the same or similar moments. They seem to build off relationships.

Common elements of these experiences were all of us working together, and having strong relationships. I think there is a lot of opportunities to share ideas on twitter with people who are in our professional community but we may not even know. 3) Keep it simple for novice student success.  Keep it challenging for student learning.  Keep it fun for student interest.

Student impactful experiences:
1) Students reported excitement when speaking with native Italian speakers (grandparents, parents, neighbors, family in Italy)
2) Distance learning - After several discussions, I believe students have a newfound appreciation for school and their teachers.
3) Students shared that their favorite parts of class were when we sang in Italian, had competitions / games and whole-class discussions.
